Indoor air quality and ventilation

Air quality complaints are usually a ventilation or humidity problem wearing a different name. We measure first and change equipment second.

  • Humidity control and condensation troubleshooting

01

Filters are a trade off

A denser filter restricts airflow. Dropping a high resistance filter into a fan that cannot move air through it reduces delivered air and can freeze a coil. We check static pressure and fan capability before recommending a filter change.

02

Verification

We record outside air volume, static pressure, supply temperature and relative humidity before the work and again after it, so the improvement is a measurement rather than an assurance.

03

Complaint investigation

Recurring complaints on one floor or one zone usually trace to a specific damper, sensor or balance issue. We investigate the zone rather than treating the whole building.
